Description:
The Practice is situated near the Great Barrier Reef. If you enjoy relaxing by the beach, playing golf and sailing this location is the ideal spot for you.
The candidate will be responsible for providing high quality, primary health care services to the community in keeping with best practice standards. The resident GP will be part of a team that includes a Business Development Manager, Nurse Practitioner, two Registered Nurses and a Clinical Administrator.
The candidate will:
- Provide appropriate care and services to island residents and domestic international guests
- Provide after hours, on call and emergency services on alternate weeks
- Provide management of long-term conditions in line with national guidelines and pathways
- Provide appropriate health promotion and preventative health care advice to all patients attending the practice
The successful candidate is vocationally recognised through Fellowship with either the RACGP or ACRRM.
The GP will be required to provide evidence of:
- Current and appropriate registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- Current Medical Indemnity Cover
The candidate should be capable of maintaining accurate patient records. Consideration will be provided for GP's with experience in rural and community based practice.
