The Opportunity
We are currently looking for Dispensary Technicians to join our team at MPS in either a casual or permanent basis based in Alphington, VIC. Supported by our Pharmacists, our Dispensary Technicians are responsible for quality providing pharmacy services to our Aged Care clients, as well as a range of administrative and reporting tasks associated with dispensing medications. This is a Monday - Friday opportunity.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Accurately and efficiently dispensing a high volume of orders to Aged Care Facilities
- Prescription management – including liaising with our clients’ doctors and nursing staff
- Dispensary administration and system reporting (FRED)
- Collaborating with a large team of Pharmacists, Dispensing Technicians and Packers to ensure scheduled delivery times are met
What we are looking for:
- Strong work ethic and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work and communicate with a wide range of diverse colleagues and clients
- A keen willingness to learn
- Be passionate about aged care
- Relevant qualifications - Certificate III or above in Community Pharmacy is mandatory
- Experience with FRED dispensing system is essential
