Job Description



We are a campground located on the east coast of Fraser Island. We are currently looking for two HOUSEKEEPERS and a KITCHEN HAND ready to start work 10 DECEMBER 2020.

The successful applicants will be able to obtain a QLD RSA before arrival, and be able to stay for a MINIMUM OF 3 MONTHS. You must be physically fit, a fast worker with attention to detail, and willing to live in a remote location. Accommodation is in permanently erect canvas tents, with shared bathroom and kitchen facilities.



Kitchen Hand duties include:

• Setting up the kitchen for food service and packing down at the end of the day;

• Preparing burgers, toasted sandwiches, fried food, coffee and milkshakes;



• Keeping the kitchen clean and tidy at all times;

• Stocktaking and restocking;

• Assisting in the shop;

• Serving customers using the POS system; and

• Reporting to the Shop Manager.



Housekeeper, duties include:

• Pre-arrival and departure cleans (8 cabins, 23 permanent tents);

• Keeping laundry clean and tidy at all times;

• Assisting in the shop;

• Serving customers using the POS system;

• Stocktaking and restocking; and

• Reporting to the Shop Manager.

• MUST HOLD A CLEAN DRIVERS LICENCE.



The successful applicants will have excellent communication skills (FLUENT ENGLISH) and be keen to provide great customer service. You will be working approximately 76 hours (10 days) a fortnight, with lunch provided each day.
