Australian Medical Research (Part of Sydney Spine and Pain) is a private clinical research facility equipped to manage Phase 2 to Phase 4 clinical trials, conduct feasibility study, support investigator-initiated research and collaborate with academic researchers. Since our establishment, we have successfully worked with Project Sponsors and Contract Research Organisations (CRO) for pharmacokinetic studies and various clinical trials.
About the Opportunity
As a result of continued growth and success we are currently seeking a talented Data Manager operating from Waratah Private Hospital, Sydney to join our team. In this role,
you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of data management projects using tools like IBM, Castor EDC, Clindex and Imednet to meet the medical, legal, ethical and administrative requirements of health care delivery.
· Controlling all aspects of data management and to ensure compliance with Good Clinical Data Management Practices (GCDMP);
· Determination of project feasibility from a data management perspective;
· Providing input into the preparation of RFP's in liaison with BD and the clinical team;
· Controlling access to confidential information, and recommending codes of practice and procedures for accessing records
· Performing a range of complex research-related activities that play a critical role in supporting the delivery of Clinical Trial research project outcomes
· Supervising and providing training support for junior and contract Data Management staff as required.
What are we looking for?
Strong clinical background and sound clinical trials experience including trial set-up, coordination and project management.
Solid knowledge of GCP, GCDMP, national and international regulations
Strong communication and organisation skills;
High level interpersonal skills and proven ability to work strategically with key stakeholders in a research environment;
Highly developed project planning, coordination, organisation and time management skills and ability to meet recruitment targets;
High level computing skills, including databases, clinical trial electronic data entry, word processing and spreadsheets;
Previous experience working with research participants and
Previous experience in clinical trials would be very highly regarded
Ability to embrace a fast changing environment
