23/11/2020 - 11:55 PM Fantastic opportunity to lead the delivery of strategic procurement services for the department Full-time ongoing role based in Parramatta or Orange – alternate locations can be negotiated TRP starting from $207k including superannuation, commensurate with experience The Department of Planning, Industry and Environment is currently seeking a Director Procurement & Chief Procurement Officer to join our Corporate Services team. This is a pivotal role within our Corporate Services team and is responsible for leading the delivery of strategic procurement services for the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment cluster. This is a dynamic and varied role in which you will oversee the development and implementation of the cluster-s procurement policy and strategic framework, including spend and opportunity analysis to support commercially astute advice and value for money outcomes. You will lead a team of procurement specialists in the delivery of a value-adding, advisory procurement service. In this position, you will represent the cluster in whole-of-government procurement leadership forums to provide guidance, feedback and innovative suggestions. About You In order to thrive in this role, you will have either a degree qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent hands on experience. You will have previous experience in managing successful teams in a highly complex environment. A healthy knowledge of Government tendering and procurement regulations and policies is a prerequisite for this position.
