Seeking a dynamic BDM to generate revenue growth and establish and maintain customer relationships across the VIC region.

About the Role

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for identifying new business relationships and maintaining productive and effective relationships with existing customers.

Articulating the Company value proposition to new customers from cold calling through to face-to-face meetings.

Application of the sales cycle : from customer identification, cold calling, questioning,

diagnosis of customer needs and the IT environment translating this into further customer meetings with engineering staff, presentation of the solutions, negotiation of pricing and terms and closing of the sale.

Validation of the solution with the customer by translating customer needs into the relevant service/product offerings.

Develop leads through participation and attendance at vendor events and conferences.

Lead follow-up with existing customers.

Working closely with vendor account managers to establish account management plans and sales strategies for existing and new accounts.

Preparation of proposals and tender responses.

Identify new opportunities for growth within existing and new accounts. * Coordinating technical presentation of the solution to the customer with engineering staff.

Providing post-sales support to the customer ensuring retention of existing accounts.

Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues, and products related to the ICT sector.

Monitor industry developments relating to potential business opportunities.


To be successful, the BDM will have a detailed working knowledge of Australia's ICT

5+ years a Business Development Manager in software solution/integration.

Demonstrated experience in selling and positioning Cyber Security Infrastructure.

A self-starter with a track record of outstanding performance and achievement of goals.

Strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral, written and verbal communications skills.

Ability to successfully communicate with contacts via the phone, email, video, and collaboration tools.

Ability to develop relationships with Vendors and internal support staff

Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse set of internal and external business owners and stakeholders across all organisational levels

Ability to analyse, and document potential customers' requirements and design solutions to address such needs.

Experience using a CRM (Salesforce preferred), Zoom / Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office Suite applications and LinkedIn Sales Navigator is preferred.

A degree in Technology or a relevant Business discipline is preferred.
