Risk Management and Compliance is responsible for developing and deploying the compliance frameworks to allow the Group to take conscious exposures to credit, market, operational, compliance, technology and insurance risks within a Board-approved risk appetite. Wealth, DCEO and Program Delivery (WDP) provides risk management to the Wealth Management, Office of the Deputy CEO, Group Strategy and Program Delivery businesses of CBA.



WDP Compliance sits within WDP but also operates within the broader Group Risk Management function. WDP Compliance aims to significantly reduce or remove the potential for WDP and its staff to be exposed to harm arising from compliance breaches.

WDP Line 2 also helps protect WDP from the risk of loss resulting from inadequate or failed internal processes, people and systems, or external event



Your role:



The position of Senior Manager, Compliance will support the effective execution of key Compliance requirements within the business and bring compliance expertise to the WDP. The Senior Manager, Compliance will work closely with the Executive Manager – Compliance Conduct, Conflicts and Privacy, Policy and Advisory, Group Compliance, Data and Insights teams and other BU Line 2 teams.



WDP is looking for a dynamic individual who will play a crucial role in assuring and uplifting of the Group’s compliance with its framework and relevant regulations.



Responsibilities:



RRRC and Risk Assessment in Performance



Lead the execution, coordination, preparing and management of the BU Risk Remuneration and Reward Committee for the WDP Business units



Drive engagement with BU Risk Committees and manage escalations



Prepare and support the completion of interim and annual risk assessment requirements for relevant WDP leaders



Lead the Line 2 Compliance activities required to meet the group framework



Support the CRO in the completion of CRO challenge activities in relation to Risk Assessment outcomes.



Regulatory Change



Lead the collaboration with the Group Regulatory Change team to ensure Regulatory change that relates to WDP Business areas is monitored and managed



Prepare and execute Line 2 assurance over areas impacted by regulatory change



Provide oversight that the WDP Obligations are up to date and correct



Compliance Management



Lead the line 2 Compliance engagement for regulatory review such as annual compliance reviews and industry inquiries



Act as a lead contact point for key Compliance Framework execution



Provide Compliance input on Incident, Issues and Risk in Change activities as required



We're interested in hearing from people who have:



Extensive previous experience in compliance for a financial services firm and/or multi-national organizations



Industry experience, preferably with a background in Compliance, Risk or Controls



Ability to manage multiple and complex stakeholders



Experience in conducting monitoring activities and assurance reviews



Ability to demonstrate independence, provide oversight and challenge management on decisions and processes regarding strategy and compliance
