Barwon health is the major regional health provider for the Barwon South West region. It is Victoria’s largest regional health service with one of the busiest hospitals in the state, University Hospital.

About the role
Do you want to experience the excitement of working across a broad range of departments?
Here at Barwon Health we are seeking motivated and passionate casual administration relievers to work across many different departments on an ongoing casual basis.
We will work with you to match your availability and skills to suitable roles where you will learn, be challenged and meet great people who all want to provide excellent service to internal and external customers across the Barwon Region.
We ask that you have solid experience in administration, accounts payable, data entry, secretarial or office support, that you have confidence utilising computer systems (such as MS Office) and a sound proficiency in quickly grasping new systems and processes.
Is it essential that you are comfortable with the casual nature of these positions and that you have the ability to be available on call and sometimes with minimal notice. It is highly desirable that you are able to work up to 76 hours a fortnight.

If successful in the second stage of this process you will be required to attend a COVID safe Assessment centre at University Hospital Geelong.
You will also be required to complete an administration skills assessment which includes Microsoft Excel and Word as well as a written assessment.

Essential: Experience in Reception / Customer Service / Clerical / Administrative / Data entry or Internal customer service environments
Essential: Computer literacy with the ability to learn specialist departmental programs, including the ability to review and verify data.
Essential: Do you feel comfortable working in COVID testing clinics? Please note you will not be in direct contact with clients
Essential: Do you have the ability to work at least 32 hours a fortnight?
Essential: Demonstrated experience in a challenging consumer focused environment.
Essential: Demonstrated understanding of the needs, issues and sensitivities of people from diverse backgrounds.
Essential: Excellent customer service skills with experience in managing multiple customer queries via the phone and face to face.
Essential: Formal qualification in administration or other qualification relevant to the role or relevant equivalent administration experience
Desirable: Experience in Finance or Accounts Payable
