The No one Dies Alone Companion Programme (NODAC)  recruits volunteers to be part of a team whose role will include being present with the resident at the end of their life providing companionship, emotional support and a calming environment through music and lighting. 

About the Role

The primary purpose of this role is to continue and finalise the No One Dies Alone Companion (NODAC) pilot program.

The NODAC Project Manager will conduct a quantitative research project on the impact of the NODAC pilot and provide a detailed Project Plan for implementing the programme for all Amana Living Residential Care facilities.

Responsibilities in this role will include, but not be limited to: 

- Demonstrate advanced-level communication and interpersonal skills, (written, verbal and listening) for developing and maintaining effective relationships with all stakeholders

- Demonstrate support and commitment to the policies and procedures of Amana Living.

- Work directly with the Planning Group and Senior Managers to support current and explore future business requirements of the programme and assess options to meet improvement objectives

- Analyse the needs of individual residential care facilities and provide site specific directions. 

- Design and establish a program structure, streams, teams and governance arrangements

- Liaise with project sponsor to confirm programme resource requirements and to define timelines

- Coach, guide and develop program co-ordinator to ensure capability to meet program’s objectives

- Review Volunteer training modules

- Lead the assessment of business change impacts and benefits identification, tracking and delivery

About you

  The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:  

- Demonstrate project management knowledge and 3 plus years experience in project management roles

- Demonstrated knowledge of change management and continuous improvement principles and practices

- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of and commitment to the implementation of equality, diversity and workplace health and safety principles

- Aged Care Experience

- Advanced communication skills, both written and oral

- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft office- including excel and Power point
