Our purpose is “embracing discovery and learning, building partnerships and engaging our community to deliver excellent health and wellbeing.”<br > <br > <strong>What you'll be doing<strong><p> <div style="font-size:10pt">The role of the Assistant in Nursing [AIN] within Mental Health Drug and Alcohol [MHDA] Services is to support both the nursing and multidisciplinary team under the direction of a Registered Nurse [RN]. The AIN assists in the provision of nursing care to mental health patients within an acute care setting and provides within their identified tasks direct patient care activities that support the recovery of acute mental health patients under the supervision of a RN. The role also involves the collecting of health care information, documenting and communicating the information back to the RN.<div> <div style="font-size:10pt"> <div> <div style="font-size:10pt">Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:<br > <div> <div> <div style="font-size:10pt"> <ol> <li>Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrate these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.<li> <li>Understanding the needs of Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Clients.<li> <li>HLT32057 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Descriptor: Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care) or equivalent.<li> <li>Commitment to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.<li> <li>Knowledge of confidentiality issues.<li> <li>Demonstrated computer skills.<li> <li>Well-developed communication skills.<li> <ol> <div> <p style="font-family:Arial">
