The College is seeking an innovative, adaptable and committed educational leader,
with highly developed management skills and demonstrated experience in leading a team of IT professionals to ensure technology is used effectively in an educational setting and to create new learning opportunities for students and staff.
Commencing in 2021, this full-time appointment is a contracted position for a period of eight years, with a process of appraisal in the second and fifth year of the contract. The successful candidate will have a teaching load commensurate with this senior position. and the responsibility level associated with the role.
This Middle Leader position is a key component in supporting and promoting a technology-rich learning environment at the College, which aligns with Mandurah Catholic College’s Strategic Plan: Grow, Achieve, Contribute and Sustain. Mandurah Catholic College has used Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) as a tool to support teaching and learning goals in what we have come to know as the provision of a twenty first century learning environment for students. The College is now moving from a focus on innovation to educational transformation. The newly appointed Director of Learning Technologies will continue this strategically focused journey.
This role will suit an educator with a strong understanding of the latest technological educational trends and a demonstrated ability to strategically and effectively implement appropriate ICT related products/devices at the College to support effective teaching and learning practices in the classroom. Those in leadership roles at the College are encouraged to work collaboratively, focusing on teachers providing learning environments that are engaging and challenging so that students develop a strong desire to achieve well. As a leader, the successful candidate will be an excellent communicator who will promote collegiality and harmony amongst all members of staff. In addition, they must also be visionary and pro-active, responsive to the overarching vision and direction of the College.
The College offers excellent support to staff to enable them to develop their professional journey through the College Professional Growth Program. All staff are required to be involved in the pastoral care of our students and need to be able to demonstrate a commitment to the ideals and ethos of Catholic Education, as well as be willing to participate in the extra-curricular programs.
