The College is seeking an innovative and committed educational leader,
with highly developed management skills and demonstrated experience in leading whole Primary Teaching and Learning approaches, for the commencement of the new academic year
The Assistant Head of Primary School is responsible for coordinating, planning, developing and implementing all curriculum and is a key component in the Primary School Leadership Team, where a collaborative leadership approach is exercised.
This is a Leadership position and will suit an educator with an outstanding knowledge and proven skills in curriculum development, assessment, reporting, student pastoral care and operations. Demonstrated experience in leading whole Primary teaching approaches, including PR1ME, Talk for Reading, Talk for Writing, PLD, Lexile and 1, 2,3 Magic, is essential. Those in leadership roles at the College are encouraged to work collaboratively, focusing on teachers providing learning environments that are engaging and challenging so that students develop a strong desire to achieve well. As a leader, the successful candidate will be an excellent communicator who will promote collegiality and harmony amongst all members of staff. In addition, they must also be visionary and pro-active, responsive to the overarching vision and direction of the College.
The College offers excellent support to staff to enable them to develop their professional journey through the College Professional Growth Program. All staff are required to be involved in the pastoral care of our students and need to be able to demonstrate a commitment to the ideals and ethos of Catholic Education, as well as be willing to participate in the extra-curricular programs.
