Position details

:The successful applicant will join a school with a strong desire to improve the learning outcomes for all students by increasing student engagement and teacher effectiveness. People with the passion and experience to affect this type of change are sought to join the school leadership team as a vital and important team member.

The role of the Assistant Principal will be a shared model, with a range of responsibilities in supporting the Principal and the existing Assistant Principals.Applicants should ensure that their application includes a short covering letter outlining their suitability for the role.

- Witness to their faith and previous experience in taking a leading role in the religious dimension of the school community, including co-ordinating Sacramental Programs

- SWD Knowledge and experience

- A willingness to work collaboratively as part of a flexible team, using both innovation and initiative

- Highly developed organisational and interpersonal skills with a successful record of developing positive relationships with students, staff, parents and parish

- A high degree of competency in using and supporting ITC integration for both students and staff

- Comprehensive knowledge of current educational theories and practices and a proven ability to lead staff in educational change, curriculum development and professional learning

- Demonstrated enthusiasm and initiative as a school leader and preparedness to be involved in the school's extra-curricular activities

- An experience and record of coaching staff and a suitable coaching accreditation would be advantageous

- An understanding of Explicit Instruction (EI).

- Must be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education.

Qualifications Required:

- Accreditation to Lead or undertaking Accreditation for Leadership

- An active member of the Catholic Church

- Relevant four year tertiary qualification

- Minimum of seven years teaching experience
