Training Coordinator

Part Time Ongoing Position 15.2 hours per week

Parkville, Victoria

Please note that this position is only open to current employees of The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Peter McCallum Cancer Centre, The Royal Women's Hospital and the Royal Children's Hospital.

The Parkville Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

The Parkville EMR is a word-class system shared by The Royal Melbourne Hospital, The Royal Women's Hospital, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and the Royal Children's Hospital to support high-quality, seamless healthcare in Parkville and improve health outcomes for Victorians.

The EMR is used by more than 15,000 clinicians and staff across the four health services and delivered in partnership with Epic,

a global leader in health information technology.

Your contribution 

The Women's Informatics team is responsible for the day to day management, operation and improvement of the EMR at the Women's. As the Women's EMR Training Coordinator you will be responsible for overseeing the ongoing successful delivery of EMR related training.

You will have the opportunity to be the first point of contact for ongoing training enquiries and work closely with the Women's Credentialed Trainers and Principal Trainers from the Parkville EMR Team to ensure that training schedules and materials are prepared, updated and remain fit for purpose.

Your duties will include (but are not limited to) the following:

- Booking training rooms and ensuring that all training resources are available

- Assisting the training team with role needs analysis

- Scheduling employees into training sessions, emailing confirmations and ensuring that the training spreadsheet and LMS are up to date

- Working with the LMS System Administrator to update online EMR training modules to ensure they remain current

- Using the LMS to extract reports to track registration and attendance details

- Providing Credentialed trainers with assistance in delivering training sessions

- Providing ad hoc administrative support to the LMS System Administer and Director of Informatics as required

About you

To be successful within this role you will need to have:

- Strong demonstrated experience in a Training Support role

- The ability to coordinate efforts of multiple parties and work in a team environment

- A focus on providing exceptional customer service

- Proven ability to exercise sound time management skills and prioritise between competing demands

- Experience working in a healthcare environment

- The ability to define, articulate and document processes and procedures

- Excellent computer skills and a high attention to detail
