10pt;"><b><br></b></div><div style="font-family: Arial;"><b>Employment Type</b>: Permanent Part Time<br><b>Position Classification</b>: Staff Specialist<br><b>Hours Per Week</b>: up to 16<br><br><br><b>Purpose of the position</b><br></div><div style="font-family: Arial;">Provide clinical management and treatment of patients under your care in the Northern Beaches Early Psychosis Intervention Service (NB-EPIS), currently based at Brookvale Community Health Centre. This care will be provided within the scope of practice endorsed by the NSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee (MDAAC) and as outlined in the NB-EPIS model of care. <br>The position will provide clinical leadership to  the NB-EPIS team, inclusive of comprehensive psychiatric assessment and management of patients referred to the service with a possible first episode psychotic illness, in addition to being part of multi-disciplinary reviews and team meetings and in keeping with current guidelines for the treatment of patients presenting with a first episode psychotic illness. The position holder will also provide supervision to team members and to junior psychiatric trainees. <br>The position will provide clinical consultation services within NSLHD inclusive of CYMHS community and inpatient services and other early intervention services (providing cover during times of leave) and help support and develop pathways to facilitate good clinical care for patients and their families across services. <br>The post-holder will contribute to the teaching and training of medical students, graduates and other health care professionals and to research, evaluation and quality improvement activities within the service, to guide ongoing development of clinical practice.<br>As a staff specialist within the Child & Youth Mental Health service (CYMHS), the post-holder will also participate in a CYMHS staff-specialist on-call roster for NSLHD. <br></div><p style="font-family: Arial;"><b>Selection Criteria</b></p><div style="font-family: Arial;"><ol><li>MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants must have Fellowship of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or recognition as a specialist by the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship within 3 months may be considered</li><li>Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.
