About Your Role





Are you Ex-Navy interested in an exciting role training future leaders of the Navy?



We seek expressions of interest in several training instructor roles in preparation for an upcoming project supporting the Royal Australian Navy in Sydney. We are currently looking for senior maritime warfare instructors, assistant warfare instructors and senior navigation instructors.



The role would be based at HMAS Watson on the beautiful Sydney Harbour and you would be training the future leaders of the Navy.



There are 23 instructor roles delivering Navigation Warfare training, including training in the classroom, simulation and at sea. In addition, you will conduct supporting activities including: curriculum development, course reviews, conduct of assessment, mentoring and inspiring the bright young minds of the future.



As an instructor, you will run training scenarios utilising the Bridge Simulator and maintain expert knowledge in all operational aspects of Maritime Warfare.



How About You?



- You are a qualified Principal Warfare Officer (PWO) or possess a Surface Combatant Navigation Course (SCNC) certificate or their national equivalent.

- You will have over 1 year of PWO/SCNC experience or you are an experienced Navigation Instructor who holds a PWO N+ qualification or national equivalent.
