The Opportunity:

We strive to be a centre of excellence and commercial experts enabling Medibank to achieve its objectives through the application of leading practice category management, sourcing, supplier management and procure to pay services.



As a Sourcing and Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of nominated RFx’s, suppliers and contracts to effectively deliver value, productivity benefits and mitigate supply risk



You will impact by:



- Playing a key role in the development of supplier strategy and Category plans, tender opportunity and contract

- Executing the end to end RFx process in relation to nominated contract services or any other RFx requirements

- Being responsible for developing and executing strategic decisions relating to commercial priorities in consultation with leadership

- Being accountable for negotiation deals that positively effect outcomes and better enable the business

- Managing all supplier activities in line with regulatory procedures, procurement policies and through the appropriate SAP system

- Ensure that Contract Management Plans for all strategic and operational contracts within your remit are developed, maintained and executed

- Manage contracts through an account management view with the purpose of maximising financial and operational performance while minimising risk

- Monitor, track and report on contract performance

- Ensure that team members working on nominated category initiatives are submitting strategies and recommendations to Medibank Governance Committees in a timely manner and meeting expectations of leadership



In order to be considered:



The successful applicant will have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in IT Procurement or in a commercial management role and experience with managing indirect spend categories. They will also have Expert RFx Strategy Development and End to End Contract and Supplier Management Execution.

- Your ability to be organised enables you to multitask without being overwhelmed

- Advanced communication skills, including ability to structure a story and communicate with clarity to influence audiences

- You have good knowledge of the health care and/or insurance industry

- You have a strong understanding of procurement practices and procedures

- Previous experience with Ariba and SAP Procure to Pay and Source to Contract is highly desirable



Please note this is a three month contingent role with the view of going permanent.
