About the Role

The position is responsible for providing general administrative support to an allocated particular medical speciality. The incumbent is required to have working knowledge of office systems and procedures, a high standard of typing and an ability to meet tight deadlines. Computer skills with the ability to provide management and appropriate reports.

Selection Criteria to be addressed:

- Extensive administration experience with high level knowledge of Microsoft office suite, working in a similar support role including secretarial skills and having the ability to multitask and be adaptable to change.

- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and experience working in a fast paced environment.

- Excellent communication skills in both written and oral form, including attention to detail. This is demonstrated through the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders including patients and health professionals.

- Demonstrated initiative to solve problems, ability to prioritise, coordinate and time manage daily tasks with minimal supervision.

- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills when dealing with people with complex health needs.

- Capacity to undertake a diverse range of administrative tasks as an effective member of a team in a high pressure, high volume work environment.

- Experience in paper based and electronic record maintenance and filing.
