The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a commercially minded problem solver who is able to connect and build meaningful relationships with stakeholders. You will well versed in financial/operations management to be able to manage our retirement living communities across 2 x sites – Waratah Highlands located in Bargo, and Macquarie Grove located in Tahmoor, near the NSW Southern Highlands.

Your role

As the Village Manager for both sites, you be will responsible for the daily operations and success of these assets. You will lead a close-knit team, driving them with your customer-focused approach balancing the need for a strong community sprit while striving for operational and commercial excellence.

Working with the residents committee you will be afforded a sense of autonomy playing an active role in directing the future of the village for Stockland and its residents. 

Some of your duties will include:

• Act as the village lead in the interaction with residents, residents’ committees and the local community

• Managing, coaching and inspiring your close-knit team to allow them to reach their true potential and deliver the upmost in customer service to our residents

• Contributing towards the strategic direction of the village including assessment of growth potential, asset management, maintaining excellent knowledge of community needs and market trends

• Managing village administration and financials including reporting, budgeting, P&L;, resident records

• Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including; residents and families, Stockland employees and contractors

About You

You will have a strong background in operations management in the Property/Asset, Hospitality or Business sectors and will continually display Stockland’s CARE values.

You will possess:

• Strong financial acumen

• Excellent stakeholder-management skills

• Ability to interact with our residents with respect, maturity and empathy

• Excellent organization and time management skills

• Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team

• Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills

• Exceptional communication skills
