Apprentices and Trainees Queensland (ATQLD) is seeking applications for the 2020 Work Skills Traineeship intake, commencing in Gladstone 12th October 2020 (18 Weeks Full Time).

- BSB10115 Certificate I in Business

Apprentices and Trainees Queensland have received funding for  Work Skills Traineeships , one of seven programs that makes up the Queensland Government's Skilling Queenslanders for Work  initiative. The program offers disadvantaged Queenslanders employment on public works, community, and environmental projects, with participants undertaking a Work Skills Traineeship.

At the completion of the Work Skills Traineeship, you will gain a nationally recognised qualification of a Certificate I in Business,

gain essential work-life skills and experience through a work experience program. 

Applicants are sought with the following qualities:

- Demonstrate a high level of motivation

- Commitment to complete the qualification

- Self-motivated but also a team player

- Strong attention to detail & problem-solving skills

Essential Criteria:

- Queensland residents & an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident (include humanitarian entrant), temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on a pathway to permanent residency, or a New Zealand Citizen).

- Over 15 years of age

- No longer enrolled in school

Preferred Criteria:

- Young people (15-24 years), including those in and transitioned from out-of-home care

- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people

- Mature Age Jobseekers (45+ years)

- People from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds

- People with disability

- Women re-entering the workforce

- Veterans, ex-Australian Defence Force (ADF) members and their families

- Disadvantaged Jobseekers and underutilised Queensland workers
