> About the role

>

> The role is responsible for assisting in the administrative functions of Tasmania office, providing effective general administration and communication, records management, event coordination, financial reporting in conjunction with the Presbytery Treasurer, Safe Church policies, and support of Presbytery committees, Presbytery office bearers, and Uniting Church staff in Tasmania.

>

> The Administration Officer works in partnership with the part-time Administration Coordinator, who shares some common duties with the Administration Officer role.

> About you



>

> To secure this role you will have:

>

> - At least 2 years' experience in general office operations, including websites (WordPress) social media (Facebook), financial management and reporting systems (MYOB), and online banking systems.

> - Experience of Church communities, organisational structures, responsibilities and relationships.

> - Experience working with volunteers, managing realistic expectations, encouraging effective communications and engaging sustained contributions.

> - Knowledge of legislative requirements and contemporary community expectations regarding workplace health and safety, risk management, cemetery management, working with vulnerable people, and the policies and commitments of the Uniting Church.
