We are looking for a high performing Executive Level 1 Assistant Director, Costing who will demonstrate our Business and Leadership Functions and uphold the APS and Library Values.

Working with a considerable degree of independence, the role has people, program and stakeholder management responsibilities. Adaptability, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate will be key to your success.

The Assistant Director, Costing must hold qualifications and equivalent experience in accounting or business.

It is desirable that they have experience with costing models, budget modelling and benefits realisation and hold a membership to a professional accounting body.

A merit pool may be created and used to fill similar vacancies during the subsequent 12 months from the date of advertising.

The role of the National Library of Australia, as defined by the National Library Act 1960, is to ensure that documentary resources of national significance relating to Australia and the Australian people, as well as significant non-Australian library materials, are collected, preserved and made accessible either through the Library itself or through collaborative arrangements with other libraries and information providers. The Library has four strategic priorities:

3. We collaborate with others to maximise the national impact of cultural collections.
