CONSUMER PROTECTION INVESTIGATOR, INVESTIGATIONS AND ENFORCEMENT
- Full Time Position - Ongoing
- Clerk Grade 5/6 ($85,488 - $94,327) + superannuation
An opportunity exists within NSW Fair Trading’s Investigations and Enforcement Division, Consumer Protection Investigation Unit for a professional investigator.
Key responsibilities within this position will include, involvement in large scale inspection programs, conducting assessments and investigations, in an efficient and effective manner and in accordance with the legislative requirements along with departmental policies and procedures.
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate recent relevant experience in the conduct of inspections and resulting investigations. Also essential is previous experience in the preparation of investigation reports and briefs of evidence. You will possess sound knowledge and understanding of relevant Acts and Regulations and how this relates to the work of NSW Fair Trading.
You must have exceptional communication skills and be able to communicate at all levels both internally and externally. Crucial to this role will be your superior writing skills which are needed in the preparation of submissions, reports, presentations and Ministerial correspondence.
You will need to be able to demonstrate your ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team within a high- volume work environment.
- Certificate IV in Government (Investigations) or preparedness to undertake an identical or similar employer-sponsored program.
- Demonstrated knowledge of formal conduct of investigations, evidence gathering and review process.
- Current NSW driver’s licence and ability and willingness to travel throughout the state when required.
