Your role in our future.





An opportunity exists for a highly motivated Research Assistant to join the Stacker Laboratory/Tumour Angiogenesis and Microenvironment Program within the Cancer Research division at MacCallum Cancer Centre on a fixed-term full time basis.





The successful candidate will undertake scientific research as directed by the Head of the Receptor Biology Laboratory, Tumour Angiogenesis and Microenvironment Program. This work will include but is not limited to using advanced cell and molecular biology techniques, animal models and other systems to understand the role of blood and lymphatic vessels in the progression of cancer.





Suitable applicants will possess a BSc or equivalent experience in Biological/Biomedical Sciences and the ability to work with independence and also as part of a team.





The successful candidate will also provide outstanding organisational support to the Stacker Laboratory within their role and will facilitate research output by generating data and supporting the overall running of the laboratory.

The position is initially for a fixed term of 12 months with the opportunity for future extension subject to project funding. Remuneration is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
