About the business and the role
Our client is a leading player in the construction demolition and removal and related industries market. With over 10 years experience, they are fully licensed and services Sydney, Canberra, Newcastle and surrounding areas. They are recognised throughout the industry for being at the forefront of compliance and regulatory standards. The team is looking for a mature minded, proactive Office Administration Assistant with an immediate start available. Reporting directly to the Office Manager and Project Coordinator, this role is responsible for the effective and efficient day to day coordination of reception and front office. Further information will be provided in detail to applicants who are interviewed.
The role is customer-focused - so we are looking for someone with a friendly, welcoming disposition and excellent communication skills, to ensure the best possible first impression of our company to clients. The successful applicant will be required to develop and foster excellent customer relationship with our stakeholders. Reporting to our Office Manager, you also need to help us grow the company culture of honesty, integrity, fairness, respect and strong work ethic. The role entails a diverse range of skill sets, responsibilities and rewarding challenges. We are looking for someone who will be able to Provide centralised administrative support for all correspondence, including reception dutiesBe the first point of with clients and suppliers.Answer all calls, responding to enquiries, transferring calls and taking and relaying messages etcExcellent multi-tasking and record keeping skills, maintaining databasesCoordinate and book in quotes, maintenance and follow upsResponsibly for staff allocation to jobs & ensuring correct notifications go out on every jobHandle Please apply through this site. and diary management The successful applicant will need 1 year of administration experienceExceptional office organisational, customer service skillsTo be proficient in the use of Google Drive, Gmail, Excel and Word . Prior experience with GeoOp preferred but not essential.Manage document control and preparation of appropriate correspondenceExcellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills EnglishA demonstrated capacity to develop and refine office systems and proceduresAccurate data entry, typing skills, spelling and grammarAbility and willingness to learn new computer based systems and softwareA vibrant, positive, can-do attitudeA strong attention to detailExcellent communication skills to receive direction and work together as part of a team.Ability to work in a fast paced environment and at times, under pressure to meet deadlines.Their own C class licence and vehicle.Must have full working rights in Australia and the ability to work full time Monday - FridayThe following skills / qualifications will also be highly considered Tertiary qualifications in business administrationExperience in working in an office environmentBasic understanding of business accounting / bookkeepingConstruction industry knowledgePrior experience with GeoOp.
