NGA are seeking a highly motivated and professional Project Manager supporting activities and delivery of the Brisbane Maintenance & Modification Centre BMMC Hangar Upgrade Project based in Pinkenba, QLD.

This project is a key strategic milestone in growing the overall footprint and capacity for Northrop Grumman Australia.

Northrop Grumman Australia provides the Royal Australian Air Force RAAF with through-life support for its fleet of KC-30A Multi-role Tanker Transport MRTT aircraft?a derivative of the Airbus A330-200. The platform is a trusted and proven asset and the program is continually growing in capability and expertise.

The BMMC is the main hangar where Deeper Maintenance operations are conducted and is integral to the KC-30A Enterprise. The BMMC Hangar Upgrade Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring minimal impact to operations and business activity.

The successful candidate will be an expert coordinator with the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders. You will be central to ensuring that those stakeholders are well informed and that the project objectives are clearly articulated.

This role is initially intended to be for a fixed-term period of 24 months.

You will be responsible for

Engaging with key stakeholders across the NGA Enterprise including the nominated architectural firm.

Acting as the key integrator of activities for completion of design, construction, and installation with on-going Deep Maintenance activities.

Coordinating and ensuring task owners remain accountable and responsible for Project delivery.

Creating clear and attainable project objectives, coordinating the project requirements, and managing the constraints with all stakeholders of the Project.

In conjunction with the Architect, ensure that the Project has a clear resource plan, and a clear and defined schedules.

Ensuring that all Project risks, constraints, strengths and weaknesses are identified and adequately communicated and managed as required during all Project phases.

Overseeing the Project including all progress, deliverables and budgets tracked and recorded if required, to ensure the Project meets expected and agreed outcomes.

Ensuring that all phases of the project are executed in a safe manner in coordination with WHS Manager and all WHS and Environmental requirements are met.

Ensure that all phases of the project are executed in compliance with NG policy, Defence policy, and state and airport regulations in coordination with subject matter experts such as the BMMC Facility Coordinator, NG Security, and nominated Architectural PM.

Provide clear and concise communications across the organisation as required to ensure all management, functional and other team members are aligned with the Project requirements.

Ensure that Projects deliver operational results that meet the corporate and customer requirements, and adhere at all times with the policy, procedures and processes as endorsed by the business and customer.

Investigate and coordinate trade-offs and solutions that provide the best possible Value for Money VFM.Draft and coordinate business case justifications with stakeholders.

Qualifications and experience required

Qualifications in Project Management Advanced Diploma Minimum

Demonstrated experience in a Project Management role

Proven experience managing and integrating multiple projects simultaneously

Knowledge and understanding of DASA framework or similar

Broad knowledge and experience with aircraft hangar construction and modification including related regulations and requirements.

Broad knowledge and experience with Aircraft Deep Maintenance operations aircraft and facility.

Strong team player, with ability to work as part of a larger group or independently.

Experience in using the Microsoft suite of applications and in particular, MS Project.

Must be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain a baseline security clearance
