Operations Finance Manager- Northgate

We are recruiting a permanent fulltime Operations Finance Manager to lead our friendly and skilled team of four based at our purpose built facility in Northgate, Brisbane.



Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will lead finance business partnering for our Operations division inclusive of our Production, Distribution, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Procurement functions.





The position will add tangible value by providing financial and commercial insights to our Operations business, developing and influencing operational strategy by working closely with business leaders to develop their financial acumen and enable informed business decisions through effective management of budgets, targets and forecasting.



Key Responsibilities



- Assist Operations leaders to prepare their operating budgets.

- Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP;) Finance process and provide for periodic adjustment to demand & supply forecasts

- Lead the development of the Capex Plan

- Review, analyse and make recommendations in relation to business results - costs, budgets and operating policies

- Gain insight into the level of inventory the business holds and develop plans to efficiently manage stock holdings

- Direct the preparation of required regular reports for the Operational functions

- Participate in strategic projects as required

- Investigate product/portfolio lines profitability and make recommendations regarding continuation or discontinuation of lines

- Participate in the development of short and longer-term Company-wide financial objectives and plans and oversee the implementation of the relevant Operational business plans

- Ensure all activities comply with relevant Acts, legal demands and professional ethics

- Up-skill current and new employees to build in-house capability in area of expertise



Skills and experience



- Tertiary qualifications in  Accounting

- CPA

- Exceptional business acumen with proven operational financial analytical skills

- Proven people management skills

- A leader with presence- ability to consult to a senior customers and stakeholders at Executive level

- Ability to build effective business partnering relationships, including an ability to analyse, evaluate and develop options and solutions
