How can you Unearth the Possibilities with Nufarm?
Based at our Kwinana chemical manufacturing facility, we’re looking for a results-oriented and self-driven Process Engineer to join our Production team. In this role,
you’ll be developing and implementing process improvement projects to maintain and improve plant performance and ensure that quality, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements are met.
You’ll be engaging daily with Production to troubleshoot issues, review processes and procedures and to identify and implement continuous improvement activities.
What will you be doing?
Providing technical direction and support to the production department for process troubleshooting to ensure the plant continually improves in safety, quality and efficiency
Instigating and facilitating root cause analysis to investigate incidents relating to plant performance, safety and quality
Scoping improvement projects including the development of conceptual design
Monitoring production throughput and developing and executing efficiency improvement plans
Developing and maintaining existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) including the development, maintenance and training material delivery for Plant Operators
Ensuring new projects are integrated into the site Safety Management System (SMS)
Managing new process implementations including staff training and competency assessment
Providing permit to work support including confined space entry
Ensure operation of the plants meets regulatory requirements (including Worksafe requirements, DWER and Dangerous Goods site Licence conditions)
What do you bring?
You’re a degree qualified Chemical Engineer with demonstrated Process Engineering experience ideally in a chemical manufacturing environment. You bring an understanding of Management of Change (MOC) processes, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigation and an awareness of the regulatory requirements associated with Hazardous substances and lean methodologies and principles.
Engaging and proactive, you have excellent communication and technical skills. You’re passionate about continuous improvement, collaboration and engaging with internal teams to drive results.
