ING, Australia’s most recommended bank is looking for an experienced Data Analyst – Financial Crime, to join our high-performance Financial Crime Compliance team. Using your well-developed data driven insights capability,
you’ll have the unique opportunity to enhance existing controls and implement new controls to ensure operations are conducted within regulatory requirements.
You’ll also be assessing potential money-laundering and terrorism-financing risks, configure and test automated solutions and actively lead project work.

What you’ll do…..
- Identify, extract and collect critical data from bank source systems.
- Interpret and refine large datasets for the purpose of identifying new, emerging or evolving areas of risk concern and/or trends.
- Participate in the development, configuration and testing of automated solutions using your Coding and ETL Platform skills.
- Work with internal stakeholders to create reports based on the datasets you extract and collect.
- Prepare meaningful insights and analysis to share with the business.
- Co-ordinate root-cause remediation projects with the business and IT, developing and leading action plans, such as for new or outstanding reporting issues.
What are we looking for?
- Strong analytic, problem solving and interpretive skills.
- Desire to learn and succeed with a positive and proactive ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Extensive experience in SQL and Coding (Python, Java etc.), DataMart’s, database and ETL platforms (SSIS, SAS).
- Ability to self-learn and work autonomously.
- Experience in a Financial Crime or Transaction Monitoring role with financial data is desirable.
