This is a full-time continuing role at a HEP4 classification, salary range is $65,334 - $69,328 per annum plus 17% superannuation, working 36.75 hours per week. The role is located at our Footscray Park Campus.
About Us
The College of Sport, Health, and Engineering comprises:
College of Health and Biomedicine
Disciplines of Sport and Exercise and Outdoor Recreation/Environment Science from the College of Sport and Exercise Science, and the
Disciplines of Science, Built Environment, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, and Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
The focus for the College is to create opportunities for greater interdisciplinary work between disciplines in terms of teaching and research. This cohesive alignment is designed to offer more opportunity to encourage interdisciplinary, industry-engaged research and teaching collaboration, enabling Victoria University (VU) to achieve the strategic and operational objectives, delivering quality learning and teaching programs, employment opportunity outcomes and enhancing the student experience.
The College of Health, Sport and Built Environment offers a variety of courses ranging from undergraduate degrees through to postgraduate qualifications, with the majority of the programs offering learning experiences in close association with key industry partners.
About the Role
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide organisational and administrative support across the Student and Resource Management (SRM) and Program Delivery and Event, and Marketing (PDEM) work streams.
Provide administrative assistance as required for the preparation of documentation and/or reports related to College administrative work stream.
Liaise effectively with organisational units and staff beyond the immediate team to gather information, keep informed and contribute to the requirements of the administrative work stream.
Maintain files, correspondence and administrative records relating to administrative work stream with ready access as required.
Scheduling and coordinating meetings, interviews, events, distribution of mail and some reception duties.
Assist with processing administrative requests in a timely manner and in accordance with VU systems, compliance and quality assurance policies and procedures.
Contribute to the documenting of procedures and continuous improvement opportunities for the efficient and effective operations of the administrative work stream.
Provide administrative support for the Team Leader, including report preparation, analysis and investigation when required.
About You
You will have:
The ability to display initiative and exercise judgment in the provision of administrative services to support the achievement of work area goals.
Well-developed interpersonal, written and communication skills.
The ability to prioritise tasks and solve problems as they arise in the role and provide advice.
Experience in the use of MS Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and any other relevant database or systems.
