About the Opportunity

We've got an exciting job opportunity for a full-time Purchasing Officer working Monday to Friday, to join us in Bowen Hills, QLD. Your main role will be ensuring high service levels are delivered to our internal customers and suppliers.

You'll also be the go-to for keeping things on track with our suppliers and making sure everything gets delivered on time.

Some of your key areas of responsibility will include:
Purchase and provision of goods and services to meet customer needs in terms of form, fit and function
Supply queries - controller
Rapid AP processing
Data entry e-supplies receipts
Standing order receipts
Pricing discrepancies
EDI error resolutions
Administration support for controlled issues




Ensure the purchasing process is efficient and timely to support business objectives

You will also work with the purchasing team to assist the Supply Manager, as required.

About You

To excel in this role, candidates should possess a strong track record in high-volume consumable goods warehousing and distribution and experience in customer service functions. The ability to effectively operate within a fast-paced environment, delivering robust customer service to internal clients, is pivotal.

Demonstrated proficiency in task management, team collaboration, and cultivating relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders is also essential.

Moreover, you will have experience working with inventory systems.

You will also have high attention to detail and excellent organisational skills,



allowing you to effectively prioritise your workload and work accurately and efficiently while unsupervised. Flexibility to cover all rostered shifts is required.
