To help keep Queensland moving,



we are actively recruiting for a PO5 Principal Environmental Officer to provide specialist expertise to assist the Department in meeting its environmental management and legislative commitments in relation to program development and delivery.

Role requirements include:

- Provide specialist advice on environmental management and legislative compliance issues throughout all phases of transport infrastructure projects.
- Establish and maintain relationships with other Environmental Officers to ensure consistency across various projects.
- Assist with the coordination of the Region's legislative obligations for environmental management.
- Develop responses to ministerial and public enquiries in relation to other government departments on their environmental initiatives.

The successful candidate will hold a Degree qualification from a tertiary institute in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Engineering or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institute and a C class drivers' licence.
