Your new role
Reporting directly to the Vice President, Finance and Resources you will be responsible for providing strategic procurement leadership over a diverse portfolio of categories with a substantial overall spend.
The role works collaboratively with senior stakeholders to ensure that business needs are understood and that sound strategic commercial solutions are sourced, implemented and managed effectively. You will be involved in managing the organisations governance, through a procurement framework, and leading responsive and appropriate changes to this framework in line with the organisations changing environment. The Director has managerial responsibility for and provides leadership to the functional units within the strategic procurement and services portfolio which includes category management, the procurement performance and purchasing services team and the procurement performance team.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate for the position of Director of Procurement, will have hands on experience leading a transformation procurement project within a medium to large enterprise, ideally with some public sector experience. You will have proven experience managing procurement professionals at a high level and be capable of recruiting, managing and developing staff. You will also be capable of demonstrating your broad based business knowledge, your highly developed project management skills and your strong knowledge of legal terms and conditions.
