We are currently seeking a Head of Property to join the Business Development (BD) team in Port Melbourne. Reporting to the Head of Retail Network Planning, you will be responsible for delivering property opportunities to meet the annual targets of the business whilst managing risk of our existing property portfolio.
As Head of Property, you will be responsible for:
Managing the Property team and ensuring sufficient resources are available to meet business objectives
Producing enough property opportunities to meet the agreed annual targets and source new locations in line with budgets whilst managing risk and minimising occupancy costs
Providing expert advice and guidance to the Specsavers business and store partners in all aspects of Property and work with the senior Business Development Team members to improve the processes and procedures
Leading strategic cross-functional projects within the Business Development department an working on key annual plan initiatives
Regular reporting on the entire portfolio; measuring and improving a variety of metrics
Reporting to the Head of Retail Network Planning, you will possess the following skills and experience:
Significant experience in a similar role as well as managing a small team, negotiating retail leases and dealing directly with franchisees is essential
Ability to see things through to complete conclusion
Solid understanding of the retail fitout process and approvals process
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and a collaborative approach taken to communicating with broad audiences
A broad knowledge of all major Australian and New Zealand Shopping Centres
