To keep up, there will be key focusses on Network Function Virtualisation on Private / Public Cloud and MicroServices, as well as architecture driven by light weight APIs, Open Source Software & Databases.As a Senior Engineer Cloud SME, you specialise in the Cloud technologies and bring deep and broad experience in building cloud foundations, cost effective solutions and services. Architect, build and automate of nbn Solutions in public cloud(s),

ensuring repeatable and efficient use of cloud service patterns and/or provide consultancy to nbn internal teams that build their cloud solutions.A bit about your roleThis role bears significant operational responsibility for efficient utilisation cloud services and their stability.The role will have ongoing responsibility for upgrading and improving nbn cloud solutions, service migrations to public clouds as well as service performance that rely on the nbn cloud structure.Your key responsibilities include:Setting up of computing foundations, shared services, server, storage, database and associated management systems, creating our Service Catalogue and Standards essential for optimum service performance, operations and costs;Developing, maintaining and applying the best industry, security and vendors? standards through design, consultancy or controls that will be put in place;Upgrading and improving nbn cloud solutions, service migrations to public clouds as well as service performance that rely on the nbn cloud structure; Architecting and building of complex Cloud Services Templates as well as provide consultancy to the other teams;Building re-usable patterns /blueprints & pipelines enabling other IT teams to freely use them;Building and testing solutions to suit specific applications and new scripts developed as neededTroubleshooting of cloud services and solutions in case when lower technical teams could not resolve issues;The role is seen as a Technical Leader in the area of Solution Integration responsible for utilising all benefits of cloud computing and also passing knowledge transfer to the other internal nbn teams and be part of Cloud Vendors and/or 3rd party automation, operational or reporting tools evaluated and introduced.We offer a range of flexible working arrangements within our teams. Talk to us about what flexibility could look like for you.A bit about youTo be successful in this role, you will have hands-on experience in Amazon Web Services architecting and build automation, developing and customising complex software, experience in scripting and automation of repeatable tasks. Working within an Agile methodology will be highly regarded as we function in this environment.It is mandatory to have experience with AWS Cloud Formation &Ansible;, and the programming language such Python, Chef, Go, Jenkins, Puppet, Ruby or Shell Scripting.
