We are currently looking for a cleanerto join our Samaritans Cleaning Services team. These casual positions will be based in the Newcastle and Maitland regions, and will work across various sites.
The primary responsibilities of these roles include ensuring the security, cleanliness and general appearance of common areas, kitchens, toilet areas, offices, meeting rooms, corridors and other work spaces at various Samaritans locations in accordance with required standards.
You may also be required to supervise a small team of supported employees.
Samaritans Cleaning Services is an Australian Disability Enterprise (ADE) providing competitive quality cleaning services to commercial sites throughout the local region.
This service provides practical employment for people who, due to a range of disabilities, face barriers to gaining and retaining employment. We believe employment is a critical part of an inclusive and empowered community while fostering social justice and financial independence.
Commercial or domestic cleaning experience
Model professional behaviours including a high degree of objectivity, integrity and compassion
Confidence to work autonomously
Availability to work outside of business hours
Ability to use a smart phone
Experience communicating with people with a disability
Provide First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
Valid NSW Drivers License
Completion of a pre-employment medical, National Criminal History Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
Certificate II in Commercial Cleaning
