Our client, AGL Macquarie is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Unit Manager to provide support and supervision to a team of 5-10 professional engineers.

This is a short-term assignment being for an initial 2-3 months, with the view for extension or permanency, for the right candidate.

Key accountabilities:

• Take ownership for team performance through planning and supervising work.

• Review of technical feasibility of proposed solutions to engineering problems.



• Management of personnel actions including salary recommendations, and coordination of training and development.

To be successful in this position, you would have:

• A Degree that would qualify for Professional Engineer membership of Engineers Australia, with relevant heavy industry experience;

• Demonstrated experience in a senior engineering capacity;

• Demonstrated leadership experience in developing standards and procedures, setting and achieving KPIs and solving problems decisively and quickly;

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to educate across a wide range of stakeholders.
