The Telesales Team Leader will be accountable for creating amazing customer experiences, through a best in class customer focused model. You will play a pivotal role in the ongoing growth and profitability of the business as you will be accountable for maximizing customer value and engagement, and ensure product growth opportunities, identification and management of churn risks.

The Telesales Team Leader will lead a team that add value to existing and new prospects, through both inbound and outbound activities, promoting the range of Optus products and services.

The individual will be required to possess a superior level of problem solving, negotiation skills, an ability to manage a broad range of both customer and consultant types, and complete complex transactions across all Consumer and Business products. In addition, the Team Leader must display a strong level of brand advocacy and demonstrate the Optus Values to a high degree.

Through your coaching you will drive your team to excite customers and differentiate Optus as the provider of choice. You will drive a team culture that has the customer at the forefront of everything we do by asking effective discovery questions, active listening and presenting tailored solutions which address current and future needs.

In summary you represent Optus and the essence of our customer's experience within the broader Telesales team. You provide a differentiated level of service through your knowledge; prioritization, can-do attitude, sense of fun and dedication to both our customers and our brand.

The success of this individual will depend on their ability to bring to life the customer and coaching framework and demonstrate this to a superior level as part of their customer conversations. This will be recognized through the key measures of success; Performance Indicators, NPS & Optus Values.

Primary responsibilities include:

-Coaching Telesales Solutions Consultants on incoming customer enquiries, to competently and professionally, tailoring appropriate products and solutions to their needs
-Present, promote and sell products and services using the core coaching framework to existing and new customers
-Create amazing customer interactions by providing customers with accurate information relating to activation, packages and pricing that suit the needs of the customer
-Recommend workable solutions through effective questioning that meet the needs of the business, stakeholder and customer on the first call
-Demonstrate flexibility with customers, using highly developed negotiation and objection handling skills to address their issue / query within boundaries of products and empowerment level
-Use triggers & effective questioning to identify opportunities to expand into the customer home / business to ensure maximum brand loyalty
-Identify churn risks and offer tailored solutions to maximize retention of Optus products
-Utilization and adoption of account-based customer specific offerings
-Effective time management and adherence to rosters / queues to ensure optimal customer experience

Experience required:

-Mobile or fixed knowledge essential
-Proven Leadership sales / service experience in an inbound/outbound call centre
-Strong understanding of the Optus products and ability to identify appropriate whole of home / business solutions
-Strong knowledge in all Optus' products is required
-Excellent understanding of the Telecommunications Industry and regulatory environment
-Time management skills - the ability to plan work to a roster and on a blended queue
-Experience with Coaching and driving results through others
-High level of motivation and ability to adapt to change in a fast paced and ever-changing environment
