Our highly respected partner AGL Energy is at the forefront of continuous improvement across the organization. To that end, a new opportunity has arisen for a Security Business Analyst to join us on a contract to be based in Melbourne CBD. We are looking for people who display behaviors which reflect and actively demonstrate alignment to the AGL Values of: Safe, Sustainable, Inclusive and Focused.

This role is for an initial duration of six months with a potential to extend.

Key purpose of this role

The Business Analyst is responsible for identifying and interpreting business requirements into deliverables/technical requirements for projects and other business initiatives. You’ll be part of a major Cloud Transformation program.

The role will work with Project Leads, Architects and Business Units to ensure collection of data is consistent and that milestones and timelines are achieved.

Key accountabilities of this role

• In partnership with relevant AGL Business Units, have exposure to the project lifecycle to support initiative delivery short term and long term in a sustainable fashion.

• Lead the building of relevant business cases, feasibility documents, scoping documents and work breakdown structures.

• Define the needs of multiple stakeholders and facilitate the negotiation of requirements amongst multiple stakeholders.

• Complete the identification of current-state and future-state business processes plus provide a clear gap analysis to ensure clear delivery within programme.

• Create, analyse and validate detailed functional specifications.

• Facilitation of design sessions with the implementation team to define the solution.

• Delivering elements of systems design which may include data migration rules, business rules, wireframes, or other detailed deliverables as agreed with the Programme Manager.

• Prepare executive reporting materials on scheduled basis and create presentation materials on an ad-hoc basis.

• Partner with IT to outline and design technically feasible, user friendly solutions that meet the needs of the business.

• Conduct effective Q&A;’s sessions to ensure business requirements can be easily translated into a technical specification.

• Propose ideas and recommends solutions to problems related to project design to management for guidance as needed.

• Coordinate production validation / business verification testing to ensure the project team is involved as necessary and that the project is moved into the production environment as scheduled and without issues.

• Develop the operational acceptance and deployment schedules, identify and log defects and work with stakeholders to identify root cause and retest fixes.

You will have:

• Solid experience as a Security BA, with experience working in complex IT Services environments.

• Experienced in security technology areas such as Identity and access management, Cloud security, Network security, Azure AD, Data security, encryption etc

• Industry certificate related to Cyber security or cloud security is highly desired

• Working knowledge of information systems security policies, standards and practices (e.g., access control and system hardening, system audit and log file monitoring, security policies, and incident handling)

• Strong knowledge and experience across firewalls, intrusion detection systems, data loss prevention, SIEM and Vulnerability management

• Should have worked in Cloud technology projects as a BA

• Well aware of tools such as CyberArk, MyIdentity, secret management tools

• Demonstrated experience working with third party suppliers and vendors to deliver outcomes.

• Strong business skills with the ability to liaise with senior managers and executives.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering programmes using Agile and SDLC project methodologies.

• The ability to listen and understand objectives and concerns and formulate a system solution to resolve the issues.
