About the Role
The Energy Efficiency Manager is responsible for the energy efficiency program across Group Operations. This program is a strategic initiative to reduce the greenhouse intensity of our generation fleet whilst maximising the life cycle value.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Own and drive the overarching efficiency program across Group Operations
Facilitate the one aligned approach to energy efficiency across AGL including Technical Services, Operational Improvement, our Business Units and Wholesale Markets
Define and implement meaningful key performance indicators to drive energy efficiency performance
Define and implement the tracking of maintenance work orders relating to energy efficiency
Focus flagship energy efficiency programs on the high value, high ease opportunities across the fleet to deliver quantifiable improvements to AGL’s earnings
Initiate and support the development of Performance Standards to articulate minimum performance standards for critical equipment across Group Operations
Initiate and drive the development of business cases for significant projects to restore or improve energy efficiency
Steer and sponsor the implementation of key energy efficiency projects
Ensure that all Health, Safety and Environment Systems and goals are introduced and adhered to while meeting the organisations policies and standards for HSE Management
Demonstrate AGL Values, by acting in the best interests of AGL at all times
About You
To be successful, you’ll have:
CPEng (or part qualified) and be Tertiary qualified ideally in Mechanical or Process Engineering
Extensive experience in asset management, energy efficiency and/or process optimization gained from the power generation industry
An excellent knowledge of energy balances, thermodynamics and energy efficiency principles
Excellent communications and influencing skills at all levels of the business
