About Our Client

Our client has 25 years of experience in Australia but would classify themselves as a sleeping Giant. With recent investment and a new business acquisition they are looking at significant growth in the next 3 to 5 years.

Job Description

- Identify & develop new clients and/or new markets (Key Industries cover Mining, Quarries and Agri/Food Processing)
- Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure exceptional service and identification of potential new sales opportunities
- Strong technical knowledge of engineering requirements and restrictions from the industry.
- Product range includes but not limited to:

- Belt scales and weight meters
- Level measurement
- Weigh feeders
- Impact weighers and Flow-meters
- Tramp metal
- Density gauges
- Pipe coils

- Strong relationship and account management skills with a customer focused approach
- Comfortable and strong experience in accurate reporting and forecasting
- Experience in selling or up-selling clients to utilise our clients for their product range not one specific SKU.
- Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct demonstrations
- Ability to meet and exceed sales targets
- Perform market research and report on competitor activities through on the ground intelligence
- Ability to travel throughout Australia to customer sites (including remote mining areas) as this is a National role
- Ability to allocate at least 25% of the time to travel to customer events (trade shows, sales training days, company conferences)

The Successful Applicant

You will have Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Similar (desirable) and working experience across mining equipment. You will enjoy taking control of our market and developing new business from minimal / non-existent clients. You will have strong technical knowledge and you will be comfortable 'on site' with your clients rolling up your sleeves and physcial demonstrating the product and services. You could currently be in the BD Manager position or in a Technical Services role where BD is about of your role and you are looking for a BD focused position in the next career move.

What's on Offer

Base + Super + Bonus

Initially this position is an individual contributor position but in time is likely to become a leadership position.

Sydney based with travel across Australia.
