Maroochy River Resort & Bungalows offers fantastic accommodation located in the heart of the beautiful Sunshine Coast. As Front Office Manager, you will act as the ‘face’ of our company and ensure visitors receive a heartwarming welcome.

The role of Front Office Manager is to ensure the smooth running of the organisation to meet our customers’ requirements. This position will suit an experienced leader from a Management background, with excellent client relationship development skills with strong people management experience. You will coordinate all front desk activities, including calls, reservations and guest’s services.

Responsibilities



- Overseeing and leading a successful front office team
- Working closely with the hotel GM and Reservations in monitoring rates and maximizing occupancy and revenue
- Attending HOD meetings and briefings on a daily basis
- Liaising with all departments to ensure the successful running of the hotel
- Ensuring high brand standards and customer service is maintained
- Actively work in all areas to ensure standards are maintained
- Welcome international guests
- Training, supervise and support office staff, including receptionists, security guards and call center agents
- Schedule shifts
- Ensure timely and accurate customer service
- Handle complaints and specific customers requests
- Troubleshoot emergencies
- Monitor stock and order office supplies
- Ensure proper mail distribution
- Prepare and monitor office budget
- Keep updated records of office expenses and costs
- Ensure company’s policies and security requirements are met
- Require 24-hour coverage in case of emergencies.

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate will have

- Staff management experience – training and rostering
- Ability to successfully lead a team
- Manage accounts
- Hands on approach to work
- Enthusiasm for the hospitality industry
- Available to work weekends and holidays after work hours
- Previous experience in a minimum 3 star accommodation hotel, previous experience in reservations and managing third party websites OR hold a Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Facility Management or Accounting/Finance
- Thorough working knowledge of principles and practices of business administration
- Demonstrated understanding of financial management principles and practices
- Excellent working knowledge of human resources management
- Demonstrated ability of procurement management
- Sound knowledge of workplace health, safety and environmental regulations
- Solid supervisory experience (Minimum one year)
- Demonstrated computer and systems knowledge, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Hands on experience with office machines (e.g. fax machines and printers)
- Thorough knowledge of customer service, office management and bookkeeping procedures
- Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building and networking skills;
- Demonstrated time and project management skills;
- Research skills and the ability to draw information from various sources, including people;
- A dedication to customer service excellence and the ability to effectively respond to customer requests
- Sound oral and written communication skills
- A positive work attitude and professional work ethic
- Working knowledge of procurement An associate degree includes the following subjects:

- Business finance
- Business ethics
