About the Job

The Quality Use of Medicines and Pharmacy Research Centre (QUMPRC) is a key Centre in the School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences. The QUMPRC has a highly successful track record in research ranging from health professional practice change to development, implementation and evaluation of medicines policy at a National level.

As the Research Assistant/Research Associate, you will undertake research-related activities for the project, Medicine-associated dementia and cognitive impairment:

identifying the problem, reducing the harm. You will prepare high quality manuscripts of project findings and manage the process of external reviews and submission for publication.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this exciting research opportunity, you will have an honours degree (level ARA) or post graduate (level ARAS) in a health care related discipline (pharmacy or similar), along with an understanding of quality use of medicines issues in people with delirium or dementia. You will also have working knowledge of the issues surrounding medicine-associated delirium, dementia and cognitive impairment.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience using statistical analysis software such as SAS along with the knowledge of ethical and regulatory requirements associated with research.
