The Business Manager is responsible for managing end to end services within the policy parameters of the Company. You may be responsible in developing and implementing strategies to ensure support for employment services. You will be preparing and managing budgets,

individual and team KPI's and managing and monitoring program performance against established targets. The Business Manager is also expected to exercise staff leadership and supervision of site employees.

Responsibilities

- Ensuring all KPIs are met including triple green targets, placements, outcomes, claims and all service requirements as stipulated by MAX Employment
- Conducting Employment Services activities consistent with contractual and legislative requirements and MAX Employment philosophy and quality standards
- Managing own job seeker caseload or proportion of, based on the office’s staff to job seeker ratio

- Co-ordinating, scheduling and allocating Employment Services staff and activities consistent with MAX Employment philosophy and quality standards
- Providing a high quality service to all job seekers irrespective of their age, gender, race, culture, religion, disability or circumstance
- Ensuring that claims, job seeker training and all service requirements are met as per MAX Employment guidelines
- Monitoring, auditing and ensuring that job seeker file case notes and all other documentation are relevant and exceed the minimum contractual standards
- Maintaining and reporting statistics relating to the provision of Employment Services to the Regional Manager

- Referring job seekers to Professional Services for assessments, treatment plans and follow up of recommendation
- Promoting and negotiating employment opportunities with employers and marketing job seekers for vacancies
- Ensure office expenditure is within company guidelines
- Training and mentoring staff to ensure their performance exceeds minimum KPI standards
- Conduct Recruitment and Selection activities in consultation with Human Resources and the Regional Manager, in accordance with the Company’s Human Resource Policies and Procedures

- Managing staff performance in consultation with the Regional Manager and Human Resources and in line with the company’s performance management system
- Establish community based connections to promote the full range of MAX Employment products and services
- Advising the Regional Manager on areas pertaining to the provision of Employment Services (i.e. resources, staffing, legal and ethical issues)
- Promoting MAX Employment services and maintaining a high profile and professional company image
- Participating in professional development and training as required

- Involvement and Participation in MAX Employment meetings and functions as required

- Comply with all WHS procedures ensuring that team members including volunteers and contractors abide by all relevant health and safety procedures

- Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours and report all accidents, incidents or near misses immediately
- Other duties as directed.

- You will possess exceptional communication skills and be able to share your extensive Employment Services knowledge with your team, through effective mentoring, coaching and training.

Required Experience


- Experience motivating and mobilising teams of people
- A good understanding of relevant human resource practices and legislation including Anti-discrimination, Equal Employment Opportunity, Occupational Health and Safety, Privacy and Freedom of Information
- Proven ability to implement innovative job seeker strategies
- Experience working with special needs job seeker groups such as people with a disability, non-English speaking background, drug and alcohol dependency, homelessness, domestic violence and psychological disorders is desirable
- Experience working with the Departmental Information Technology Systems such as ESS
- Marketing and business development skills and relevant experience.


Qualifications


- Hold or have the ability to obtain a current Working with Children Check (or equivalent)
- Qualifications in any of the following disciplines are preferred: Health, Human Services, Business, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Training, Education, Customer Service or Employment Services. Alternatively, industry/practical experience with demonstration of the above mentioned competencies.
