About the role
The City of Parramatta will be opening its first multipurpose community hub at Wentworth Point on December 2019. Wentworth Point Community Centre and Library is a contemporary facility, designed to provide programs, services and spaces to fast growing local communities. It will house a library, community meeting rooms, function rooms and dance studio, creative and gallery exhibition space, music practice rooms, a co-working space for micro business people, a forecourt and a café.

This position is responsible for ensuring the effective daily operation of the Wentworth Point Community Centre and Library space.

Reporting to the Venue Manager and in close liaison with the Branch Services Librarian; to work with internal stakeholders to develop an integrated program of activities and events across the facility and source the delivery of services and activities through partnerships either internal or external to Council. The Operation Coordinator will be responsible for direct management of the venue operations, booking procedures including booking/ ticketing system, and the facility maintenance with assistance from venue support team and technical support staff.

About the person
The successful candidate should have previous experience managing a multi-purpose community/cultural facility including booking and registration system. Must have strong leadership experience with minimum 2 years in a supervisory role, working with a multi-disciplinary team and other stakeholders.

It is essential for applicants to have a venue management/community facilities management qualifications or similar, with demonstrated understanding of the operations of community facilities, preferably those which house lifelong learning, community access, health promotion, arts and cultural programming.
