About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced and motivated Patient Care Assistants (PCA)





to work across our medical and surgical acute wards.

As the PCA you will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing patient centred care. You will be responsible for (but not limited to):

- The completion of delegated tasks to support the clinical teams
- Customer service activities
- Cleaning of environment and restocking
- Escorting patients on discharge
- Preparation of the trolleys and other supply needs
- Participate in patient care rounds with the team and undertake duties within the scope
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living

To be successful you will have the ability to work in a fast paced environment, be flexible with shifts and have a strong team and customer focus.

Skills and Experience

- Certificate III in Health Service Assistance with health care experience
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
- Available to work a flexible roster over 7 days a week
- High level of interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively according to directions
- High level of customer service and excellent time management skills

- Understanding of infection control principles
