THE ROLE

The Hydraulic Technician will be responsible for carrying out preventative and reactive hydraulic maintenance duties and other duties that support service delivery as directed and when required.


This permanent full time role is based on a rotating roster Monday to Friday and is located in Berwick, VIC:


- Undertake planned and reactive maintenance on the following hydraulic services but not limited to boilers, TMVs, general plumbing etc
- Undertake hydraulic plant replacement and breakdown maintenance when required
- Organise and perform a range of multi-skilled tasks and provide general maintenance, repairs & subcontractor support
- Complete work orders within the contacted time frame
- Ensure that all works are attended to in a professional and timely manner
- Work closely with the Facilities Management and Site Management teams
- Undertake equipment inspections as part of preventative maintenance job plan or as directed
- Provide First Response capabilities
- Carry out ad hoc duties and other tasks to support the contract as required


Skills & Experience 

- Relevant technical trade qualifications in Hydraulic Services
- Certificate IV Plumbing
- Knowledge of Hydraulic systems including infrastructure and maintenance
- Experience in working with Hydraulic systems and general plumbing
- Hospital experience, refrigeration, gas, backflow prevention and EVP certification highly desired
- Experience in leading and managing multiple jobs
- Strong demonstrated experience in relationship management with external clients and contractors
- Able to respond quickly to change and adopt a flexible/ innovative approach to problems and opportunities
