Kickstart your career with an apprenticeship at Otis We are looking for motivated individuals who are currently completing their 1st, 2nd or 3rd year of a Mechanical Fitting apprenticeship, or who have completed a relevant pre-apprenticeship qualification, to join our team as a Mechanical Fitter Apprentice, commencing in January 2027. About the role

As a Mechanical Fitter Apprentice with Otis, you will gain practical, on-the-job experience while developing the technical skills required to build a long-term career in the lift and escalator industry. Throughout your apprenticeship, you will:

- Learn about the installation, modernisation, servicing, maintenance and repair of lifts, escalators and travelators.
- Work alongside experienced technicians and tradespeople who will support your development.
- Develop practical mechanical skills, including fault finding, equipment maintenance, repair and installation.
- Gain exposure to different areas of our business, including Service and Construction.
- Learn how to work safely within a highly technical and safety-focused environment.
- Work with customers and develop strong communication and customer service skills.




- Build valuable industry knowledge and experience while working towards your trade qualification.

What you will need

To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally:

- Be currently completing a Mechanical Fitting apprenticeship, preferably in your 1st, 2nd or 3rd year, or have completed a relevant pre-apprenticeship qualification.
- Have completed a minimum of Year 10 or equivalent.
- Have full working rights in Australia.
- Have a genuine interest in mechanical systems, equipment and hands-on technical work.
- Be safety-conscious and willing to learn.
- Be reliable, motivated and comfortable working as part of a team.
- Have good communication and customer service skills.




- Be interested in developing a long-term career within the lift and escalator industry.
- Previous experience in the lift industry or another mechanical, industrial or trades environment is advantageous, but not essential.
