About the Role

This role is vital to the maintenance and upkeep of departmental schools. To be successful in the role you will need to have valuable planning and prioritising skills and good communication skills to work effectively with others. You will perform a range of tasks relating to the routine maintenance and upkeep of a Departmental School/grounds. The role may assist with the set up and removal of furniture and equipment for school activities. You will identify and report maintenance and safety issues. You will receive, store and distribute supplies and monitor equipment and report faults.

Parramatta Public School

Parramatta Public School is in the heart of the city of the Parramatta CBD. The school is currently enriched by the 660 students with 95% of our students having a language background other than English. More than 44 language backgrounds are represented within the total enrolments in the school. The design of the school is future-focused consisting of a multi-story building, flexible learning spaces, a rooftop garden, multipurpose courts and shared spaces with a neighbouring high school. The school participates in the City of Parramatta’s ‘Green Travel Plan’ and public or active transport is encouraged.
