About the team and the role

We’re looking for a Senior Retail Performance Manager to help drive the performance of our Luxury and Duty-Free retail portfolio at Sydney Airport.

This is a hands-on role for someone who genuinely understands retail. You’ll spend significant time in the terminals, building strong relationships with our retail partners, understanding what is happening on the shop floor and using data and insights to uncover opportunities to improve performance and the passenger experience.

It’s a role for someone curious, commercially savvy and action-oriented. Someone who asks the right questions, builds trusted relationships and isn’t afraid to jump in, solve problems with data.

This is an operational,



partner-facing role with a strong on-site presence. You’ll be based at Sydney Airport at least four days per week, with significant time spent in the terminals working directly with our retailers and internal teams.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to

- Build strong, trusted relationships with our retail partners, becoming a key point of contact for performance, opportunities and challenges
- Work closely with Luxury and Duty-Free retailers to understand their businesses and identify opportunities to grow sales and improve performance
- Use sales data and insights to understand what’s working, where opportunities exist and influence retailers to take action
- Monitor key retail performance measures including Average Transaction Value, sales per passenger, penetration and sales productivity
- Lead regular performance conversations with retail partners, creating clear actions and driving accountability for delivery
- Spend time in the terminals identifying opportunities across product, promotions, operations, customer experience and the broader retail environment
- Identify underperformance and work collaboratively with retailers to develop practical improvement plans
- Analyse passenger behaviour, retail trends and market performance to identify new opportunities
- Partner across Analytics, Leasing, Operations and the broader Commercial team to solve problems and deliver better commercial and customer outcomes
